Training Porpoises

Contractz got me down. I'm running the Statute of Frauds through the magnetic poetry generator and finding all sorts of insight, e.g.:

It’s that horrible instant now, knowing of failing your one undeniable belief. An ordinary, basic, agreeable offer: I accept my surrender only remember receiving yours.

M,

I read your blog at random times, afternoons when I should be working, nights when I should be sleeping…Occasionally want to comment, but more often just enjoy the voyeuristic reading and personal processing that blogs inspire. Your posts make me think of the day differently, contemplate my own meanderings, know you more, and laugh think laugh think laugh. 11 pm after a day of relaxing and friending and I’m off to bed at this profoundly decent hour. Thanks for disrupting the public/private divide with your lovely blog. Come back to life post-travels, post-exams.

secret j, thanks for your sweet comments. i didn't realize you read my blog! i will try to reduce the slander about you henceforth. i'm glad to hear from you, and promise you a decent meal and a very cheap bottle of wine post-exams. what part of the world are you going to be in, in january?

London in December is looking uncertain, so it might be pushed back to January. However, I can usually find time for grub and drink. But...you know I've read your blog before! That was one of the reasons that my hatred of you thawed during the trials and tribulations of "Just Us Sunday." Law school is clearly destroying what once was a fine memory for trivia. Shame! Bring on the slander!

strrrn, of course i remember how my blog helped you shed your hatred for me. i think we also connected over some mean comments about why mcsweeney's sucks. but i just didn't realize the blog-loving continued past justice sunday! now *you* start a blog so i can hate you less. just kidding--if i hate you at all, it's only because you are beautiful. don't you owe me a gin and tonic?
